The Foosland Sportsmen's Club is raffling this custom made Damascus knife with elkhorn handle/mount. Tickets are available for $5 a piece. The knife blade is Damascus steel which was a term used to describe a type of steel used in blademaking from about 300 BC to 1700 AD. These blades are characterized by distinctive patterns of banding and mottling reminiscent of flowing water. Blades are not only tough, but also flexable and resistant to shattering and are capable of being honed to a sharp and resilient edge.
