Tonight was the start of this year's Trap shooting season. 6 shooters showed up to battle the wind and break a few clay birds. We will shoot again on the fourth Tuesday evening starting at 6PM. Hope to see you there.

We will be holding our next to last Splatterboard of the Season this coming Sunday. breakfast starts at 6 AM The shoot will start at 8. Stick around for the ANNIE TOURNAMENT which will start about 10 or 10:30.

Starting in March the cost for the derby will increase to $12. Due too rising costs, we have to increase our price. Hope to see you there.

Our 28th year to hold this event is in the books.
We started the day off with some furnace troubles, but got thing working as they should. We served 22 hearty folks Breakfast of Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, Hash Browns, and Biscuits and Gravy.
7 shoots and 2 Pie shoots were held. Brandon Thomas was drawn as the winner of the Micro-9 pistol.
Thanks to Ralph, Mike B, Brian, Layton, Tom W, Mike G, Tom W, Tricia, and Bobby W. Without their help, we couldn't have done this event.

We will be hosting our 28th annual NEW YEAR'S DAY SPLATTERBOARD Shoot on Monday January 1, 2018.
No matter the weather, no matter the temperature, We WILL be open and ready to serve you a hearty warm Breakfast and all of the coffee you can hold.
Remember that we will also be holding the ANNIE TOURNAMENT starting around 10:30, or so. We might also shoot a DERBY if the crowd is there. We will be drawing the winner of the RAFFLE at noon.
Come out and have some Chili while you wait your turn to shoot.

Foosland Sportsmen’s Club will be offering a break from the mid-winter cold. The Clinic will be conducted at the Foosland Sportsmen’s Club Clubhouse building at 12:00 PM on Sunday January 28. This year’s class will be consist of two very different topics.
Topic 1: Preparing for a Western US big game hunt.
⦁ What to hunt and where to hunt.
⦁ Caliber selection.
⦁ Maximum point blank range of the rifle.
⦁ Using your duplex scope reticle for ranging and determining aiming points for distances up to 500 yards.
⦁ Training your body to hunt in mountains.
Topic 2: Assembly of an AR 15 upper receiver.
Demonstration of the assembly of an AR-15 A2 upper receiver from a parts kit.
From this demonstration you will also learn the requirements and procedures for changing barrels, adding free float tubes, replacing hand guards, and other various customizations available for the AR-15.
Instruction is provided by club member and NRA High Master Class High Power shooter Jeff Porter. A $5 donation would be appreciated to offset expenses and training materials. Please feel free to direct questions about the Clinic to PJP423@yahoo.com.

We had 16 shoots this morning. 36 breakfasts were served.
We will be holding our next SPLATTERBOARD SHOOT on NEW YEARS DAY. Come out for breakfast and stay fpor the SPLATTERBOARD. We will also be drawing for our Raffle of the Micro-9 Pistol about Noon on January 1st.

Tonight was the last Trap shoot of the year for the Foosland Sportsmens Club. Great weather, a good crowd, Good food (Thanks Wayne, the brats were very well liked). The BS was flowing tonight. It was a good end to a good season.
We hope to see you all when we start back up in March. Until then come out and visit us during the SPLATTERBOARD Season. The Second Sunday of December, New Years Day, and the second Sunday of February and March

This morning Spaltterboard shoot served nearly 25 people breakfast. 15 shhots were held, including 2 youth shoots. Several first time attendees were present.
